  • Cruise the Thu Bon River to Thanh Ha

Let the gentle river currents guide your hoi an boat tour as we drift toward the historic Thanh Ha Pottery Village. Here, the earth transforms under the skilled, clay-dusted hands of elders; breathe in the earthy scent of fired terracotta and feel the cool, wet clay spin beneath your own fingertips inside an authentic local workshop.

  • The Woodcarving Symphony of Kim Bong

Step ashore where the sharp, rhythmic ringing of chisels and wooden mallets fills the air, echoing the deep-rooted legacy of Kim Bong Carpentry Village. Trace your fingers over intricately carved wooden panels, witnessing firsthand the multi-generational dedication that built the ancient town’s iconic merchant houses.

  • Pedal Through Time in Tra Nhieu

Transition seamlessly into a rustic hoi an cycling tour, pedaling down shaded dirt paths toward Tra Nhieu village. Sit shoulder-to-shoulder with locals on this intimate hoi an handicraft tour to master the tactile art of weaving traditional sleeping mats, swapping poignant tales of history while observing fishermen preparing their weathered nets for weeks at sea.

  • Beyond the Bamboo Coracles

Navigate the estuarine waterways where iconic round coracles rest on the muddy banks. While you might have seen the dizzying spins of hoi an basket boat tours online, this journey offers a deeper, more serene connection to the water, capturing the raw essence of coastal life far away from the crowds typical of the standard coconut boat tour hoi an offers.

I was worried the cycling would be tough in the heat, but the path was flat and shaded by palm trees most of the way. The electric buggy pickup was a really nice touch compared to being crammed into a van. Madam Van’s braised pork was honestly the best meal we had in Vietnam.

Booking online was super easy and our guide texted us on WhatsApp the day before to confirm our hotel. The wooden boat was spacious and felt very exclusive. We bought a beautiful hand-carved tray from Kim Bong village, and the artisan wrapped it up so safely it survived my flight back to Seattle.

We wanted to escape the crowded tourist traps in the old quarter and this was perfect. Shaping clay at Thanh Ha was hilarious because I was terrible at it, but the local lady patiently helped me fix my bowl. Note: bring some small VND bills if you want to buy drinks along the way, as cards aren't accepted in the villages.

Traveling with two kids (8 and 10), I wasn't sure if a 5-hour tour would hold their attention. They absolutely loved the boat ride and trying to weave the sleeping mats. The child discount made this a great value for a family. Highly recommend doing the morning slot to beat the afternoon heat.

A very authentic look into rural river life. We saw the big noisy basket boats from a distance, but our traditional wooden boat was incredibly peaceful. The guide didn't rush us at all when taking photos of the fishermen mending their nets. Exactly the kind of boutique experience we were hoping for.

Frequently Asked Questions

Since buggies cannot enter narrow alleys or pedestrian walking streets, our guide will contact you via WhatsApp the day before to arrange a meeting point at the nearest accessible main road. It is usually just a 1-to-2-minute walk from your accommodation.
Unfortunately, there is no space to safely store large luggage on the bicycles or the traditional boat. We highly recommend leaving your suitcases at your hotel's reception. After the tour, we can drop you off back at your hotel so you can collect them.
Absolutely. If you prefer to stay in the city center for coffee or shopping after the tour, just let our guide know. We will happily adjust the route and drop you off at a central location in the Old Quarter instead of your original pick-up point.
Our traditional wooden boats are equipped with a solid, shaded roof to protect you from the direct sun and sudden light rain, ensuring a comfortable and cool cruise along the Thu Bon River.
